Google Arts & Culture | San Antonio
Content strategy, editorial writing, photo sourcing, rights management
The Project
When Google Arts & Culture approached Visit San Antonio to create a dedicated city presence on their platform, I led the content development end-to-end, from writing the exhibits and sourcing photography to obtaining photographer permissions across multiple collections.
San Antonio launched as the seventh city in the United States to receive its own Google Arts & Culture page, joining a platform that places the city alongside the world's leading museums, UNESCO sites, and cultural institutions.

What I Did
The collection spans San Antonio's major cultural pillars: Military City USA, the River Walk, UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, Historic Market Square, public art, World Heritage, and arts and culture. Each presented as a standalone online exhibit.
Over a 6-month collaboration with Google's team, I was responsible for:
-
Writing all exhibit content across multiple cultural pillars
-
Sourcing photography and obtaining rights and permissions from photographers
-
Coordinating content across institutional partners
-
Ensuring accuracy and brand alignment across the full collection
The Coverage
The launch was covered by the San Antonio Report and Glasstire, which noted San Antonio was the first Texas city on the platform.
